Meet the Cast: Oloma

Oloma was  initially created to fill an arcane spellcasting / rogue void in the initial makeup of the original party. I was inspired to create a female spellcaster by the iconic sorcerer in the Savage Tide Adventure Path, who would eventually grace the cover of Dungeon Magazine #143.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Bloodline Arcana: Whenever Oloma applies a metamagic feat to a spell that increases the slot used by at least one level, increase the spell’s DC by +1. This bonus does not stack with itself and does not apply to spells modified by the Heighten Spell feat.
Change Shape (Su): A half-succubus can use this ability to assume the form of any humanoid creature of her size, as if using alter self, once per day.
Metamagic Adept (Ex): Oloma can apply any one metamagic feat she knows to a spell she is about to cast without increasing the casting time. She must still expend a higher-level spell slot to cast this spell. She can use this ability five times per day at 19th level. At 20th level, this ability is replaced by arcane apotheosis.
New Arcana (Ex): Oloma added one 4th, 6th, and 8th level spell to her list of spells known.
Passion (Su): A half-succubus drains energy from a mortal she lures into an act of passion – unwilling victims must be grappled before the half-succubus can use this ability. The passion bestows one negative level. A half-succubus can use this ability a number of times per day equal to her Hit Dice. The save DC to remove one of these negative levels is equal to 10 + the half-succubus’s HD + her Charisma modifier.
School Power (Ex): Oloma chose Conjuration as her school power, and the DC for her spells from that school increase by +2. This bonus stacks with the bonus granted by Spell Focus.
Smite Good: Once per day, as a swift action, Oloma can smite good as the smite evil ability of a paladin of the same level as her Hit Dice, except affecting a good target. The smite persists until target is dead or Oloma rests. She gains a +14 bonus to attack and +20 to damage against the target.

*The feats Blood of the Witch Queen and Demon Mastery are not Open Game content. Blood of the Witch Queen can be found in Dragon Magazine #359 and Demon Mastery is in Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss.

Oloma was raised as an orphan on the streets of the city of Monmurg in the Holds of the Sea Princes. She used her wit and charm to survive from day to day, until she was brave enough to stowaway on a ship and leave the city behind. That ship turned out to be bound for Sasserine, and she soon found a new home. The sage and tattooist Callisto took Oloma in and took her on as an apprentice. Soon, Oloma was tattooing sailors and learning about the planes from her new mentor. She took to both studies with zeal and soon unlocked her arcane potential.

Eventually Callisto connected her with Lavinia Vanderboren, when she required assistance securing access to her family’s vault. Oloma and her friends Damien and Adolan assisted Lavinia throughout many adventures, eventually becoming Captain of the Sea Wyvern.

Blood of the Witch Queen [General] (Dragon Magazine #359, p. 62)
You are distantly related to Iggwilv by blood. Demons can sense this link and treat you with grudging respect.
  Prerequisite: Cha 13.
Benefit: You gain a +2 circumstance bonus on all Charisma-based checks opposed by demons, including the Charisma check required when casting planar binding on a demon. In addition, you gain a +2 circumstance bonus on Will saving throws made against any effect directed at you by a demon.

Demon Mastery [General] (Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss, p. 85)
You are particularly skilled at summoning demons and convincing them to serve you.
Benefit: You gain a +2 bonus on Charisma checks made to resolve the effects of planar binding and similar spells. Additionally, whenever you use a spell to summon a demon, your effective caster level increases by 1 for the purpose of resolving its effects.
